Never bought drafting before? Here's exactly how a job runs, from the first phone call to drawings on the workshop floor. No jargon, no surprises.

Show us the job

Send whatever you've got - a sketch on a job sheet, a photo of a worn-out part, a 3D model, or just a description over the phone. Rough is fine. That's the point.

Scope & quote

Straight answer on cost

You get a clear picture of what it'll take before any work starts - what's involved, what it costs, and when you'll have it. If something's unclear, it gets sorted with a quick call, not assumptions.

3D model for approval

See it before it's built

The part gets built as a 3D model in SolidWorks and sent through for your approval. This is where changes are cheap - move a hole, change a plate thickness, adjust a bracket. Nothing gets cut until you've signed off.

  • You approve before drawings start

Manufacturing drawings

The full drawing pack

Once the model's approved, the manufacturing drawings get produced - dimensions, tolerances, weld symbols, bend allowances and a bill of materials, laid out the way a fabricator actually reads them.

  • PDF drawing pack for the shop floor
  • DXF profiles ready for cutting
  • STEP or native SolidWorks on request

Build & back-up

Support while it's built

If the workshop has a question halfway through the build, they get an answer from someone who's stood where they're standing. And if something shifts on site, the drawings get updated to match.

  • Direct line while the job's on
  • Drawing revisions if scope changes
  • Files kept on record for repeat orders
  What to send IN
  • A sketch - hand-drawn with rough dimensions is plenty
  • A photo - of the part, the space it fits in, or the problem
  • A sample part - something to replicate or modify
  • A 3D model - STEP, IGES or native SolidWorks
  • A phone call - a clear description works too
  What you get back OUT
  • 3D model - reviewed and approved by you first
  • PDF drawing pack - dimensions, tolerances, welds, BOM
  • DXF files - profiles ready for laser or plasma cutting
  • STEP / native files - whatever your engineer needs
  • Revisions - kept current if the job changes
